To me, " The media is the message" means that there are different messages that the media gives to other people. For example, I read the article, "Violence in the news". It was talking how different age groups will react to the violence differently. In other words, if little kids see the strong, violent content in the news, the will start seeing the world as a scary place. This is what " The Media is the message" means to me.
I think that the message was true and now i know it's true because now i see how much the internet can affect young children and some young adult lives.I learned that Media has a big impact on your lives,but it matters how much time you use media daily.I found that violence,sexual content,and tobacco&alcohol can have an effect on traumatizing students and leading them to use drugs and alcohol.Most of these thing can be found to get into childrens head when they use media too much or daily without supervision.Too much Television can lead to bad behavior,substance use, obesity,and they will start to lack in the performance in school.Even though new can seem educational it can be too much violence for young children and they will start to use violent acts.McLuhan's statement was correct.
To me the media is the message it means that there is many different messages or ways people use the internet. A article talks about how how people and children spend about 21 hours on watching tv and using the internet. Also about how when watching tv and using the internet can also lead to violence in school or where ever people and kids are.
In televison shows kids the daily vilonce that goes on in the world. Since they cannot tell fact from fiction this can make them more violent and this can cause a problem.Since the average child watches 21 hours of Tv per week this means they are exposed to alot of violent and sexual content. Most people. The average child views 14000 sexual refrences every year.Tobacco ads spend 6 million dollars a year for there ads and a alcohol ads spend 2 billion dollars a year.

What I have learned is that McLuhan's most widely known work, Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man {1964}, is also pioneering study in media. In it McLuhan proposed that media themselves, not the content they carry, should be the focus of study-- popularly quoted as "the medium is the message." To me this means that every thing to be hard it can be easy and fun.
like this put less effort into the 'real world' like school and work.It also mentions for parents to take care into thier childs internet usage and what they do on it Most of the articles reflect to children and them on the internet.Children use the internet and television up to 21 hours per week.That causes them to miss out on excercise and it affects they're health. Poeple are exposed to

There is also a lot of violence on t.v. and young people in the united states view approximately 10,000 violent acts each year and spend more time watching t.v. when not in school than any other activity expect for sleeping.

Little kids watch to much violence in the television and the rated mature games.there are to many social pursuits. To much t.v are causing violence to increase and school education are decreasing. The statement now to me it means that it is tv,books, coumputer. All of this froms of media have good and bad things in them.For exampel on tv there are good things but there are some bad things like violent shows.In cucltion not all media is good.

i think the media education has potenial to reduce the harmful effects though the process of educating. like childern adolescents and adults about the media. media education repents a mutlifiacted apporach to understanding and elimating the negative impact of the media images and , messages to young people. at the same it allows the positive and the social uses of media education and media has exposure. the public health risks is on the media. the app has reconized both the public health is on the top thing. kids spend about 21 hours watching tv.
